ROYAL CANIN® Renal Special is a balanced, nutrient-rich recipe specially developed to support your cat's kidneys in cases of reduced kidney function.

Support for kidney function

This food contains a low phosphorus content and a moderate proportion of high-quality proteins to support kidney function.

Adapted energy content

The recipe's adapted energy content allows for smaller portion sizes per meal, which can help compensate for a reduced appetite in some cats.

Aromatic variety

This food has a specific aromatic profile to stimulate your cat's appetite, particularly when they refuse to eat. The special triangular shape, size and texture of the kibbles provide an additional stimulating effect.

Important note

This product is a veterinary diet from ROYAL CANIN®'s Veterinary Health Nutrition range. It is therefore important that this food is only fed on the recommendation of a veterinary surgeon. This helps ensure that your pet receives exactly the food they need. Any change of food should be made carefully and gradually over a period of 7 to 10 days. Make sure that the correct portion size is provided, particularly when combining wet and dry food.

Suitable for mixed feeding
To cater to the individual preferences of all cats, ROYAL CANIN® Renal Special is also available as wet food with fine chunks in gravy and in three different aromatic profiles: Chicken, Beef and Fish. It is also available with a mousse texture, as well as Renal and Renal Select dry food with kibbles in different shapes, textures and aromatic profiles.* Mixed feeding provides different textures, which can help stimulate your cat's appetite. Wet food has a more intense aroma, and its moisture content helps regulate your pet's water balance. Dry food, on the other hand, is easier to pick up and helps support dental health.
